A. You're going to want to buy an installation kit. Several installation kits made for that vehicle, including Metra's 99-2003 and American International's GMK-420, include double-DIN options. The kit includes the brackets that are required to mount the new radio; you can't remove the brackets from the factory radio, so you need the ones in the kit. The kit also provides a bezel ring so there's no gap around the radio in the dash. You'll probably have to do some cutting in the dash cavity to make the new radio fit; an after-market double-DIN usually requires a bit more mounting depth than the GM radio. There are also some wiring challenges dealing with the stock GM data-bus system, which controls the factory radio.

A. no you don't need to contact the dealership if you want to swap out the stock radio you just need to go get the dash kit, harness and antenna adapter. if you do swap out the radio, the dash kit will be metra 95-3302 and the harness will be xsvi-2103 and the antenna adapter will be metra 40gm10

A. well if its sized as a 1.5din, i would think that you would have the common sense that you cant put a 2.0(double) din inside of it. and no, the air conditioning controls will not fit correctly.. you would need to have someone customly fabricate you a fitting for your stereo dash, which can cost hundreds of dollars, possibly 1000 at most, which 99% chance that it is NOT worth it.

A. A standard DIN size radio is 2x7 inches in size, a double DIN is 4x7 and din and a half is 3x7 inches. Roughly. Youve got a celica, and you being the lucky devil you are owns a fine piece of, well, japan. Anyways, double din in a toyota is pretty standard, and it all depends on what you have. Up to 97, Celicas used all standard DD sizes, which means A - Remove factory radio and install new radio using the factory provided mounting brackets and screws, or -B- using a Toyota pocket part 88-00-8000 and factory bracket or -c- buy a double din unit. Newer body style use a kit, but I forgot the nnumber. DIN mounting is the easiest and safest.

Double DIN receiver for 2002 Nissan Maxima with Bose Sound System?

Ok just let you know I have a 2002 maxima driving it for three years and you can install the double din in there but you wont have the same sound capacity because the bosse stock maxima has some 200 wats while the aftermarket one runs somewhere betwen 160 And dont forget that you will have no steering wheel audio control and the trip computer will not work I had the same problem with a left speaker cuting off but I did fix it and I am glad Although I had to spend 400 for repair I guess it was well worth it for me Good luck

A. to need to cut a little on the top part about 1/4 of inch then you need to cut a little at the bottom about 1/3 of inch this will be enough to fit the radio, you don't have to move the ac controls and this is possible we have done it many times if your radio face moves you need to do that when the vehicle is in drive . if in park it will touch the shifter ,there are company that make a smaller shifter good luck
